Train Like a Girl!

Train like a girl is about breaking the stigma of lifting weights and training….

We want to give community level female athletes the opportunity to train like a professional and to push their athletic potential to the limits. Train like a girl is for every female out there who dreams of joining a team for social connection, for health and fitness, or to one day know the feeling of kicking a goal in the last minute and lifting that trophy with your team.

This program will empower females to ask questions, to challenge the status quo, to give it a crack, to tick every box and to stay fit and healthy. It is our goal to help improve performance and reduce injury rates. We understand that this needs to be done in a safe and inviting place for all female athletes, of all ages and levels, across all sports.

Train like a girl is about providing those girls who want to go all the way to the top a seamless transition into the world of professional sport, to help them understand the demands that will be put on their bodies, to walk into an elite team and have their fitness and strength at a level to be able to perform alongside the likes of Erin Phillips, Ash Barty or Sam Kerr.

Why are we so passionate about coaching female athletes?

Both our female and male coaches grew up playing sport, the differences in access to support between males and females were vast. Our Coaches want to give back and help the next generation of female athletes to get the right training and create a pathway for every girl's personal success. Whether that is to avoid injury or to win a school premiership, a club premiership or to make it all the way to elite sport. Girls willingness to learn and to get better, to consistently better themselves, to learn every aspect of a movement pattern, master it and then to challenge themselves on the next skill - it's inspiring! We want to see them achieve their goals, be successful, to see their hard work pay off.
