Athletic development is an important aspect of becoming a great basketball player. This includes your strength, conditioning, coordination, balance, speed, and agility.

Whether your goal is to make it to the NBA, secure a basketball college scholarship overseas or improve your own skills in your local community competition - All Ballers should be incorporating specific basketball strength & conditioning into your weekly training.

Vertical Jump

Who doesn't want to jump higher, play above the rim, and overwhelm opponents with their strength, speed and athleticism?

Strength & Conditioning

To be in basketball shape, you need to have endurance and repeat short bursts of speed running or shuffling down the floor. This is very different type of fitness then footy or general running.

Agility & Speed

Explosive first steps puts pressure on the defense and opens up many scoring opportunities. A quick first step can turn a moderate player into a very good player.

 

Meet Carlos

Our Basketball Athletic Development Program is lead by Carlos Fort Nova.

Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Carlos’s extensive qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy and a Masters's Degree in Manual Therapy and Pain Management all from the University of Europea De Madrid with further post-graduate studies in Injury risk assessment and prevention, neuromyfosacial treatment and dry needling and therapeutic electrolysis.

With over 10 years of experience in working with Basketballers, including being the Head of Physio and Strength & Conditioning at Baloncesto Torrelondones (Madrid’s leading non ACB Club), he has developed experience in injury rehabilitation, injury prevention and strength & conditioning specific to Basketballers.

Although capable of training all age ranges, Carlos has a particular passion for 12-21 year old players, ensuring they are given the right tools to secure their basketball dreams.
