NOW OPEN!

2022 Sports Trainers

4.png

We are now accepting expression of interest for our 2022 sports trainer and sports medic team!

Want to learn….

  • How to strap ankles, knees, and shoulders for different sports, positions and injuries?

  • How to manage a concussion during a game or training session & how to complete a graduated return to play program?

  • How to identify & manage a suspected spinal injury until the paramedics arrive?

  • How to run return to sport rehabilitation programs?

  • How to manage a wide range of sporting injuries?

Then apply to work as a sports trainer or sports medic at Optimus Health!

Why work as a Sports Trainer through Optimus Health?

  • Opportunities to work in a wide range of sports including Footy, Football & Rugby as well as Teenagers and Adult Sport

  • Get paid a LEGAL hourly rate for the work that you complete. We are often horrified to hear of practices that pay a ‘set fee’ for training and game coverage which generally works out to be WELL BELOW what is legal in Australia.

  • Get ACTUAL HANDS on experience. Sure it might sound great to work under the club doctor or qualified sports physiotherapist - in reality, what this means is that you will probably run water for the season. At Optimus, you will learn and be able to apply your learning to real-life injuries.

  • We provide regular in-house Professional Development sessions to help you learn.

  • We give you the opportunity to shadow our qualified physiotherapists in clinic or our qualified S&C’s in our high performance centre.

  • We provide a fun, supportive, educational environment which sets you up to succeed once you qualify.

  • We almost always offer our new graduate physiotherapy roles to one of our Sports Trainer team members

Applications are open for those who are studying:

  • Physiotherapy

  • Medicine or Paramedicine

  • Myotherapy

  • Osteopathy

  • Exercise Physiology

  • Sports & Exercise Science * (you must have completed Anatomy A&B before you can work)

Get more information by sending your CV to stacey@optimushealth.com.au including a cover letter detailing why you think you would make a great Optimus Sports Trainer.
